So what business does a suburban dwelling girl like me have joining the farmgirls? Well, for as long as I remember I have always felt this affinity for the outdoors and nature. Be it gardening, crafting, or just appreciating the work of others, farmgirling it is where it is at! One of my biggest influences has been Barbara Kingsolver's book Animal, Vegetable, Miracle. One day I might be close to suppling a portion of our food with homegrown. You know, now that I think about it, I have always wanted to be DIYGirl, making my own clothes, cooking up handmade beauty products, and decorating my house with handcrafts. Hopefully this will give me a big push to do more for myself, and re-release that inner farmgirl in me.
