Is my husband awesome or what?

I was walking around Sunday shopping with my husband (which can be sheer torment, depending on his mood.) when he completely blindsides me. Not only does he shop around for invisible zipper feet with me, but he holds my hand and doesn't misbehave at all. (I am on to him...he tortures me at stores so I quit asking him to go..heehee...little does he know it is how I torment him!) Then he tells me the most amazing thing-he would like to get me a sewing/craft table for the back office, so I can always have a place to sew, instead of dragging the machine out to the breakfast room, which acts as our only eating surface right now. *swoon!!*

So here is where you come in, crafty readers. I need suggestions/websites/examples of sewing/craft tables that I can show him.. Please leave a link in the comments, or email me at flashalee at gee male dot com!! Thank you so much!! :)

Crafting in the New Year

Hello everyone! Life has been going great here in 2008. The sewing machine has been humming, the knitting needles clanking, and the oven working in overtime! My good buddy Becca came pver last weekend and we started sewing skirts from AmyB's awesome Barcelona Skirt. I cut out the A-line, and Becs is trying her hand at the Apron Overlay. We had so much fun shopping for fabric at The Sewing Center. Is it a bad sign when one of the owners knows you by name? Hee! I had almost more fun helping Becca pick out her fabrics that I did my own. (I guess that is why I am QueenEnabler!) This weekend she is coming over and we are finishing them both.

In my knitting world I am currently knitting on my Blue Sky Alpaca Reversible Hat. I am almost to the start of the decreases. Yummy and squishy! I am taking a break from my claret cardi so that I can focus on an upcoming baby knit!!! My good friends the Whites are expecting their first in February, and I want to craft some goodies for them. I am planning some Last Minute Knitted Gifts baby booties, and some custom Onesies. In fact, I should get cracking on that right now....

Happy bloody New Year.....

New Year's Eve, a masquerade ball to be attended, in New Orleans. Sounds good, right? Wrong!!! It is a recipe for sitting at your host's, on the couch, doped up on Nyquil sick as a dog, wretched as can be. In fact, I am still sick. and the husbeast is hacking on the opposite couch. I had to go home today from work, and I probably will miss tomorrow too. Arrghhh!

Welcome 2008, you had one chance to make a first impression. Key word...had.
